Refunds are applicable to non digital product purchases. Digital downloads are non-refundable as are digital products (games/software) that carry serial/license keys. When such purchases are made, a license key is generated specifically for that product and for you as a user. Unless purchased in error, we will not be able to refund digital purchases. Please check that the software meets your requirements on the website. We have screenshots, documentation and videos available on YouTube. We also have a Discord channel you can access here, for any pre-sale questions.
Please ensure you check through the website, look at the screenshots of the software application, check out our support documentation and our frequently asked questions before you purchase, as refunds are not guaranteed at all, especially with our digitally licensed products like Game Patch Creator. You can ask us any questions pre-sale via email or on our Discord server before you purchase to ensure the product will meet your requirements.
With regards to physical purchases, all products come with a 14-day money back guarantee. If you are not satisfied with the product, you may contact us for a refund. Return shipping and postage is to be paid for by the customer.
Service contracts are non-refundable.
General statements that are not an actual complaint. For example, “not what I thought”, or “I can’t use this”. If you do not understand how the Software works, please ask your questions to our Customer Support in our Discord server. If you still do not understand the nature of the Software you are about to purchase, please do not purchase it.
We have a full website for you to view features, screenshots, videos showcasing the software interface and how it works. You can view all of this content and ask us questions in our Discord server here BEFORE you purchase.
If your users are having problems with your patch executable, we are not liable nor responsible for this. Each PC setup is different and our support extends to you as the license holder. We will try our best to help and support you where possible but our liability for support stands with our software Game Patch Creator and the editor.
Licenses are NOT to be installed to a server with multiple user access. Our anti-piracy detection system is a very advanced algorithm that can and will detect misuse of the software license. Do not install Game Patch Creator Editor to a shared computer or server online for others to access. The license is strictly a per-user license. If you have a team of users that need access to Game Patch Creator, we can offer additional licenses for your team, much cheaper than the current sale price. Please email us regarding this.
We cannot support versions of Windows that are no longer supported by Microsoft for both the patch executables and the editor itself. At the time of writing, we fully support the Windows 10 operating system.
We shall have no responsibility or liability for any content appearing on your Web site. You agree to indemnify and defend us against all claims arising out of or based upon your Website. No link(s) may appear on any page on your Web site or within any context containing content or materials that may be interpreted as libellous, obscene or criminal, or which infringes, otherwise violates, or advocates the infringement or other violation of, any third party rights.
You may not use Game Patch Creator to design nor develop custom patches or patch projects for other persons, companies or projects. The projects must be yours for personal or commercial use. You cannot use the software to generate patches for other people, companies or game developments.
Upon purchase, you will be issued with a license key. This license key is allocated and licensed for use by the name on the card of purchase and as part of the EULA (End User License Agreement) to install the software, is non-transferable. This serial number belongs to the buyer and is valid for single installation use. If you require installing GLC on another computer and/or network, please contact us. You must ensure you keep your license key safe. If you share your license key, it could be blocked by our systems. If your license key is found accompanying a torrent download or shared files, it will be blocked immediately and we will not liaise with you about restoring the license key. Once it becomes invalid, it’s invalid indefinitely. Please keep your license key safe and do not share it with anybody else. Game Patch Creator is a serialised product, that will require authentication when you load it up for use. This is an anti-piracy check so you will require an active internet connection. Where there are instances of you purchasing any additional licenses or you purchase a package which has more than one license, you are permitted to install a second copy of Game Patch Creator to a second computer for use by another member of your team.
“Yearly” means annually or every 12 months. When you purchase Game Patch Creator software, you choose either “Yearly” or “Lifetime” license. Yearly means you will be subscribed to the service for 12 months and your license will be and remain active for use for this 12 month period. You can choose to continue your renewal after 12 months, in which another 12 months will be added to your service contract. You can choose to cancel this at any time prior to the renewal date, which will be specified to you immediately after purchase.
Upon renewal date, you will receive an email 3 days before, notifying you that your renewal is due and the subscription will renew using your existing payment method on the date of renewal. It is up to you to cancel this should you wish to no longer continue or extend the license period for your subscription.
Lifetime License purchase means you are not bound to any renewals for that service whatsoever. Your license(s) for the purchase will last forever for all minor revisions of Game Patch Creator, which means from Version 0.1 to 2.0.
At the time of writing our website payment system will not allow us to create ‘Lifetime License Subscriptions’, the highest is 6 years. You will see this in the cart and at the checkout. Please rest assured, your license IS forever and you will always be able to access and use the software using your current license for the current version. As soon as we can remedy this, it will reflect upon the website. Should this never be remedied in time, then after 6 years, you will be automatically subscribed for a further 6 years and so on, for the lifetime of the product.
If you purchase a yearly subscription and then want to upgrade to Lifetime license, we will discount the initial purchase from your total due for the lifetime upgrade (excluding renewals). For example, if you purchase Game Patch Creator Professional (Yearly) and then after 6 months decide to upgrade to Lifetime we will subtract the amount paid for the 6 months from the lifetime total due. However, if you purchase Game Patch Creator (Yearly) then after 18 months, decide to upgrade to Lifetime, we will only discount the first year of the yearly subscription paid, subsequent years will not be discounted.
You will need to get in touch with us directly (email or through Discord) for us to generate you an exclusive discount code for your upgrade switch, the website will not handle this automatically.
For Patch Server hosting subscriptions, these are not “pro rata”, unless you are on Yearly. It is down to our discretion to issue discounts for services “already paid”. Please contact us through Email or Discord for verification and clarification of your current scenario.
Our server hosting packages are supplied by ourselves and we streamline our servers exclusively for file-sharing use to your patch executable. If you sign up for a monthly or annually (yearly) Patch Server product from Game Patch Creator these same terms and conditions apply. You must ensure any files you host are authorised by you or your company. You must not use this service for illegal torrents, warez or distributing software, apps, images or any other form of media without consent from the owner. If DMCA requests are made, we will immediately ensure the offending content is removed and investigate this further.
All we ask in layman’s terms is, please ensure you don’t host anything on our servers which is copyright or trademarked to someone else. Please use common sense when upload and distributing content to our servers. Any offending content will be removed and the offending hosting account maybe terminated (without refund). By agreeing to these terms and conditions you are agreeing that the files you upload to our servers are yours, are copyright-free and/or you have exclusive permission from the file owners to upload said files.
Uptime is guaranteed at 99.9% monthly. If there is to be any downtime, we will let you know in advance. We cannot guarantee 100% as we sometimes have to make hardware modifications to the servers such as upgrades. Sometimes the servers also require a reboot but manual downtime is kept to a minimum all year. Unlimited Bandwidth is subject to a fair usage policy. Our fair usage policy is pretty straight forward. The term ‘unlimited’ means unlimited whilst not affecting other services, other customers or other sites. Although bandwidth is not monitored for any particular accounts, you may see a cap applied if your server suddenly receives a particular number of hits or downloads. This is a security and preventative measure put in place for attacks, DDOS and to ensure smooth operation of other sites and services. Hosting services are non-refundable, however, exceptions can be made where we admit fault or we offer due to negligence of service. However, you are free to pause, suspend, resume, upgrade, downgrade or cancel our hosting services at any time. This is only ever done for “fair-usage” to other users. If your project is a bigger scale in terms of files/users/downloads, we suggest you upgrade your package or setup a custom server with us, where these limits will be withdrawn.
Patch Server subscriptions are non-refundable. You are free to terminate your patch server subscription at any time so the renewal is not mandatory. We will provide full hosting support when you use our hosting servers for patching, however we cannot support third-party servers or services.
Custom server contracts are exclusive contracts drawn up between you “third party” and us “ByteBox Media” for custom server usage. This is not the standard “Patch Server” hosting, this is for custom quotes for custom servers. These terms will still apply but some clauses maybe overridden by exclusive contractual clauses, these will be written into the service contract.
The software is provided “as-is” upon purchase. However, due to the ongoing updates of supported versions of Windows and user drivers for hardware, we are constantly updating the software product. Bugs may arise in particular instances, out of our realm, but we always try to issue new updates every 1 – 2 weeks. However, we are not bound by any laws in which we must offer or publish any updates.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we exclude all representations, warranties and conditions relating to our website and the use of this website (including, without limitation, any warranties implied by law in respect of satisfactory quality, fitness for purpose and/or the use of reasonable care and skill). Nothing in this disclaimer will:
limit or exclude our or your liability for death or personal injury resulting from negligence;
limit or exclude our or your liability for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation;
limit any of our or your liabilities in any way that is not permitted under applicable law; or
exclude any of our or your liabilities that may not be excluded under applicable law.
The limitations and exclusions of liability set out in this Section and elsewhere in this disclaimer: (a) are subject to the preceding paragraph; and (b) govern all liabilities arising under the disclaimer or in relation to the subject matter of this disclaimer, including liabilities arising in contract, in tort (including negligence) and for breach of statutory duty.
To the extent that the website and the information and services on the website are provided free of charge, we will not be liable for any loss or damage of any nature.
We highly recommend you use your own graphics, sound effects and videos and avoid copyright infringement with content used in your Game Patch Executables. We at ByteBox Media are in no way responsible for users who distribute patch executables that contain trademark or copyright files, images, sounds or videos. Users are responsible for their own content. We just supply the runtime executable that loads up user’s contents. Please refrain from using copyright or trademarked slogans, images, sounds or videos. Please distribute your Patch Executables responsibly. If any patch executables are to be found accompanying, downloading or installing Virus/Keyloggers/Maliciously coded programs onto peoples computers, we will terminate your license with immediate effect and no refunds given.
